Issue Position

In Colorado, as in our nation as a whole, the economy and jobs are a top concern. To improve Colorado's business climate and to increase jobs, I will:

*Partner with a wide variety of small businesses, including agriculture, to remove impediments to new business start - ups and to remove obstacles to success for existing businesses.
*Continue to build on our economic strengths, while encouraging new kinds of businesses.
*Partner with Colorado Tourism Office Director Al White on programs that enhance tourism, create jobs and increase sales tax revenue.
*Work with Colorado's Office of Economic Development and International Trade and business organizations throughout Colorado to enhance economic development opportunities such as increased broadband capacity and coverage and increased exports of Colorado products.
*Build on the economic importance of our regional medical health care centers in both counties. Eagle County's bottom-up economic plan focuses on expanding medical services, medical convention conference business, and encouraging medical products manufacturing businesses.
